Tiger & The Hare

A$2,400.00

The tiger arrived first. Fast and certain, powerful and brave, as though it had somewhere to be and no intention of waiting.

I watched it come through the ink and wondered what it wanted. I asked it, in the way you ask things when you're painting in presence and the boundary between you and the work becomes permeable. It didn't answer immediately.

It wasn't until near the end that I saw it. Right there, where I hadn't thought to look. The hare. Quiet and still, waiting patiently while the tiger made its entrance.

Together they told me what they'd come to say.

The tiger brings courage. The hare brings intuition. Together they carry the energy of a powerful new beginning, the kind of life shift that requires both bravery and wisdom. The willingness to leap and the knowing of when.

This work is for someone standing at a threshold. Beginning something. Becoming something. Ready, even if they don't quite feel it yet.

Original oil on canvas with sea salt.
