Sea Dragon
It arrives from the edge. Not announcing itself, simply appearing, when you're ready to see it.
The sea dragon moves along the right of the circle, half revealed, half still in the water. A side view, neck, legs, that ancient unhurried form, as though it has always been there and you've only just noticed. That's the nature of the sea dragon. Patient. Present. Waiting to be found by the right eyes.
Around it, an entire ocean world. Cool grey-blue on the left, textured like leopard skin or the dappled light on a shallow reef floor. Then the circle shifts, electric cobalt swirling on the right, deep and alive, the kind of blue that exists only in the Indian Ocean on a clear day. A dark void at the centre, open and still. And scattered throughout, gold, catching the light the way sunlight catches on moving water.
This is a work that rewards stillness. The longer you sit with it, the more you find.
For the home that holds space for the mysterious and the beautiful.
Original. Mixed media, ink, oil and sea salt on paper.
